From 33AD to 1054, there was one Church - the Orthodox Church. The Roman Catholics broke off and started changing Holy Doctrine; there then were -two- churches. A consequence of the Romans breaking off and screwing with doctrine is that their shit got all fucked up. Corruption, kid-fucking, you know the bit, I'm sure. A few centuries later, Protestants pop up and as a response to the evils within the RCC, they're like HEY WE'LL JUST MAKE UP WHATEVER BULLSHIT WE WANT - which isn't how Christianity works at all but Protestants are stupid and arrogant so good luck telling them that they in truth belong to the synagogue of Satan with the Jews and their father is the devil.
In 800-ish AD, Charlemagne banned Usury in Europe. The Jews complained (imagine that), saying that banned Usury was religious persecution and that Usury was their religious right. Charlemagne says okay whatever fine. Flash forward to like the 1600's, the Dutch Calvinists said that practicing usury to a company to engender commerce wasn't as sinful or predatory as loaning money to an individual...so then for the first time in nearly a thousand years, Europeans begin practicing Usury like the Jews.
