>>10006397I'm 24. I would say about 1/3 of my friend group consume on the order of 15-20 beers on a weekly basis. 2 or three guys. 1 Guy pulled himself up out of it heroically, I might say. He is successful. Another guy had mommy and daddy money. He was the "problem", and if you throw enough money at a problem, it usually fixes itself. After being expelled from our state's Uni-system, he went to the next state over and got a Mech E degree from a commuter school. Still works at autozone a year after graduation. You can fix no degree. Can't fix a personality that's literally unemployable.
My last friend is basically living on his dad's couch. Goes to the bar, starts stuff but never finishes anything. Basically a neet, but he recently just got a job at the "bank". I guess he's just sort of generalized secretary. Bitch work essentially - nothing wrong with that if you want to make 17 an hour for the rest of your life and work in customer service I guess, but he could have been a lot more, and it's getting past the point of no return in terms of skills and timelines for him tbqh.
I don't drink. I've learned. You shouldn't either. Srsly, no fucking joke, it's poison.
