How did humans evolve the engine? It doesn’t matter at all if generations of humans are behind the process or if it’s natural selection. In both cases the engine exists purely because man or nature found use of its individual parts. Disassemble a engine and 90 % of it will simply be small, fundamental machines. The process of creating an engine is simply the process of assembling more complex machines out of simpler machines. Natural selection works the exact same way. If you disassemble a flagella you get individual machines (proteins) that the bacteria uses (or have used in previous generations) in applications that aren’t related to the flagella at all. The process which the flagella was evolved is then simply a process of bacteria evolving larger more comolex proteins out of simpler ones, just as mankind have developed ever more complex machines out of simpler machines. How can this be so difficult to comprehend to you christcucks?

You know how design works right? In principle it's a lot like natural selection. Both are really just gradient descent functions that search for the optimal solution to a problem, this process doesn't require sentience, just like water taking the path of least resistance doesn't require sentience.

Part of me feels sorry for Darwin, because I think he honestly did have good intentions.

I have always ethically rejected evolutionary theory, however, and will continue to do so, regardless of whether or not it is proven to be objectively true. The reason why, is because evolution (or more specifically natural selection) is always the argument of last appeal for psychopaths, (particularly advocates of corporate Capitalism) if they are asked to justify their beliefs or the actions they take.

I have seen a greater amount of horror both perpetuated and justified on the basis of evolutionary theory, than virtually any other idea I can think of. For that reason alone, if no other, it deserves to be forgotten.

so a cursory search turns up many papers. I will remind you that it's easy to find a system. complexity or constant in nature and decree this must have been designed due to perfect balance but it is much harder to do science to try and answer the question.

tldr: 2007 scientists took an honest approach found out there are over 50 genes responsible and the bacterial flagella is very fucking complicated with a lot of diversity between strains.Nevertheless they "distinguish an ancient core set of 24 structural genes that were present in the common ancestor to all Bacteria"
so already they can find some ancient genes that ALL BACTERIA with flagella have. we are getting somewhere. This paper was cited 181 times by other researchers.

I'll read a few more. See if we can find any use for these ancient proteins those genes encoded for.

Tldr: they determine one of those ancient genes is a ring protein that helps fold the cell membrane and formed the scaffold for other proteins to attach.
