You basically have 2 choices, become a content-based youtuber or personality-based youtuber. Both have different challenges, content-based is basically you make videos centered around a topic and provide some sort of analysis on it. This can TV, vidya, movies, programming, tech, politics etc. Any sort of media with a large fanbase is a good starting point, bonus if you find a piece of media with a large following but no real presence on YT. This can be good if you don't have much of a personality but bad if you're a brainlet, you have to provide some sort of value to the viewer in order for them to keep watching your videos. Analysis and such can be that value.
Then there's personality-based youtubers, which can basically be channels about anything you want because you're aiming to attract viewers and retain them based on who you are. They watch your videos for you rather than the content you're providing and will basically watch anything you make because they want your eceleb attention. This is good because you can do different things and mostly retain your main viewers if you've built a big enough base. But the downsides are plenty, including believing there's something wrong with you when your channel isn't growing. Any criticisms of your channel are directed at you instead of your content because you are the content, when usually these are two different things for option 1. Any "drama" you get into is more centered around you since you're a personality rather than a content creator. It's a harder road but if you do by sheer luck end up making it and you're smart, you're set for life.
Not sure if this was entirely helpful but hopefully it gave you a starting point to think about what kind of content you want to make.
