In the event one party isn't willing to set down the material to be discussed they can't expect others to want to contribute. Essentially give and take anon. OP didn't truly set a discussion he merely observed that there was traditionally no discussion outside of the most base of discord "how was your day?" to which it is retorted with the soulless NPC response of "it was good".
If you wish to discuss SOMETHING you must initiate the discussion. Take the initiative to give other anons something to discuss and they might surprise you.
The unfortunate reality is that most anons who come here have very poor articulation skills and usually decide to just shit on anyone having a real conversation on something of merit.
In short if you want people to have discussion you are just as responsible to provide a subject worth discussing as the anons are to provide well thought out replies.
