Tbqh many of the popular talking heads here are progressive and say some interesting stuff.
Like I heard more often than not the teaching of universal salvation being explained - from the Church Fathers and all that.
Those who are corrupt and do stupid shit, get almost 0 face time on TV and media in general (tho the internet has some high ranking websites/blogs of ultra-Nationalistic, racist, ORDODONKS, but they are an angry minority), it's more of an underground thing - but nonetheless it feels to me like those atheistic black robe wearers are the majority, especially in the rural parts.
A big problem is the overall anti-intellectual position, we keep getting more and more buildings where prayers are done, but I don't see any scholar rising up from the Orthodox ranks.. I don't think right now we have even a Oxford assistant.
And we don't have a proper Bible translation either from the Patriarchate at least... sure there are good ones done by individual bishops or academicians - but the ones everyone such as in service are broken af - they even imported errors from Vulgate.
