>>10077807unfortunately i can't do that.
if i do that i'm afraid the stupid devs might have created their game in such a way so as to lock me out of content i didn't do the first chance i could if i progress to far.
also i'm afraid the game might be bad and "harder boss fight" might just mean running around more, spamming more items and taking 40 minutes to beat him instead of 10. that kind of display of skill i can go without. in fact i'd say i'm having trouble thinking of a game where there's some sort of worthwhile character progression where being underleveled actually leads to you needing more skill to beat something. to me, if stats come into play when fighting a boss, it stops being about skill.
just played an rpg where it forced me to use a noncombat character in a combat heavy area and yeah, i managed to beat it by using medpacs and stims and running around and peeling off a few enemies at a time, but that's lame and shit and didn't make me feel skilled honestly. and it's turn based combat so it's not like there was a way for me to use my quick reflexes to dodge.
if it's a game where progression is just unlocking moves for your character, sure i can see boss fights requiring skill and quick reflexes but in that case usually it doesn't matter if you've done the sidequests either.
