I just found out that StudioMDHR, the creators of cuphead, is a primarily Canadian-based studio. I'm flattered because a country other than my own admires our unique 1920's and 30's culture to such a pain-staking extent, but at the same time i'm confused as fuck because Canada's whole identity is basically "fuck America we're not like them lmao". How can Canadians hold such a hate boner for the US and at the same time admire our culture to such degree? Do Canadians forget they are Canadians and subconsciously think they are one of us?

Why does this seem so contradictory to me? I would've been so much happier if this was made by an American studio and I don't know why.
