Which is kinda stupid, because if they limited themselves to just offer the platform and allow people to do whatever they want with it they'd make a fuckton more of money.
I don't get it why software/hardware tech companies think limiting what the users can do with your product (aka making it less useful) benefits them in any way. Encouraging a modding community would mean there would be thousands of people actively coding new addons to make it better and create new models for them for free.
