>>10204686Where I'm from doesn't affect my opinions. I think imperialism is based as I find the concept cool. Of course I wouldn't want to be conquered though, but that doesn't change anything. I still like countries with imperialist history, it's always interesting to read about them.
Anyways Georgia is more of a "victim" of bad location than straight up imperialism, as whatever horde or invader came up it was always one of the first to take the blow, be it Turks, Mongols, Arabs or other random empires. Plus there's very rough terrain and it was always hard for invaders to annex it entirely, so the damage was always bad as they kept raiding the fertile lands and local rulers refused to give up and pay tribute/become vassals until the country was devastated. Russia was first empire that managed to take control of entire Georgia through annexation and we didn't do that bad under them anyways.
