>>10208631>how on earth do you find "proof" god doesnt exist? You can't. That is my point: God is unfalsifiable. Without clear evidence of an unfalsifiable theory, I choose to abandon it much like humans abandoned vitalism, not because the theory was wrong, but because, if you can never prove the theory right or wrong, what good is it to you as a scientist? Faith make you feel good? Neat, I am not one to bully. But I respect the group that is falsifiable, tries to get it right, and abandons an idea when it is proven wrong more than a group that can never be proven wrong, except when they are, then the coopt the very thing they tried to suppress. I have respect for people of faith, I have zero respect for religion.
>its very simple, micro, within the species; macro, beyond/between species.Biological taxonomy conferences are INFAMOUS for their very real fighting. Turns out the lines between any of the D,K,P,K,O,F,G,s are very blurry and sometimes totally wrong. I mean, we had to save face and classify dogs, coyotes, and wolves as sub-species" due to their common ancestry and ability to procreate, but many biologist argue that they are genetically (not physically) distinct enough to be separate species. Or what about gorillas, chimps, and humans. Hominidae vs Pongidae has been an argument since the names were created. With genetic testing, we now know we grouped some primates too close to each other and some too far away. And if you trust genetic testing to clarify taxonomy, why is it no good when connecting extant and extinct lines together?
