Why does he want the lockdown to be lifted? He had falsely predicted that the incidence rate of infection would be near zero by now in April and with Corona affecting his bottom line, particularly Tesla, he is losing out and having to change his plans.

The longer the economy is fucked up by Corona, the longer Tesla loses ground and it has to keep growing in order to compete with other electric vehicle manufacturers, including competition with traditional vehicles and alternative fuel ones. There's also concerns regarding economic recovery.
He can't afford to lose the race to position Tesla as the Apple of electric cars in the midst of wide-spread adoption of electric vehicles, because not only would that harm Tesla, but that would jeopardize his plans for Space-X which he plans on shifting money towards.
