you've then got lots of smaller entities purchasing equipment, drugs etc.. leading to them getting shit deals which in the end mean you, the patient, gets ripped off further
this is one area where the 'free market' has just added costs for you and made things less efficient
the US govt actually spends more per person on healthcare than the UK govt, though despite that we're still able to provide a service free at the point of use - the inefficiency of your system is staggering
