Money and sex are the two wheels of the motorcycle that is your life. Yes, there may be more complex, expensive, and hard to repair parts, but if you have a flat tire you aren't going anywhere. Even if your engine is broken, with two working wheels at least you can push your bike somewhere, but without them you're helpless, stuck in the middle of the road. That's why it's stupid to argue that being focused on them is "shallow" or "degenerate" or that there are more important things to care about. Yes, there are more important things in life, but they cannot exist without this basic foundation.
Without money you can't do anything. Without regular sex you won't want to do anything and WILL waste your life. Money and sex are the MEANS and MOTIVATION to do something with your life. If you don't have this very low baseline, just as with a motorbike with flat tires, you won't get anywhere.
Having the skills to easily obtain both a good income and regular sex are a REQUIREMENT to be an adult.
