reasons mecha sucks:
wheels go faster.
tanks don't fall over.
bipedal robots offers no advantages but more structural weak points.
maintenance of a several story tall machine would be a nightmare.
the only feasible "mecha" the world would ever see are actually mech warrior/BattleTech ugly brick looking things that are just tanks that walk
