Is it a thing in America or specifically California where instead of telling people that they are fucking up you have to beat around the bush for ages and pad everything with pillows so they don't get offended? I'm an Australian in california and I'm kind of shocked how if you just tell someone off here everyone acts like you've shot them and you're the bad guy for calling them out.
Example: my wife and I have a shared backyard with other apartments in our complex and the other day they were having a party and one of the boyfriends of one of the girls who lives here started pissing on a rose bush about 12ft from our front door, so I yelled out from my kitchen 'can ya piss somewhere else mate?'
Then everyone got silent and awkward and acted like i'd fired a gun at the prick. Far as i'm concerned the cunt is lucky he didn't get fed. Now my wife (an american) is saying i need to stop being so aggressive.
