No politician, at least in my life time, has really reached the soul of America.
A politician that talks about the spiritual and cultural rot of America, and the poor shape of the family, someone that addresses how this is supposed to be "land of the free" but yet every day that notion seems more ridiculous. That's how you'd get the disaffected of the right to come out and vote.

but a truck driver, construction worker, etc has been working those jobs for the past 10,20,30 years and they know they aren't going to be switching jobs any time soon, they've been gainfully employed through all manner of presidents and all manner of economies.
