I'm happy to heart that, actually. That is usually the reason why I even read.
Is this why you asked me about the perfect chapter length earlier? Five pages per chapter does sound short.

Pretty much, each one shifts perspective so it probably warrants being a new one, and they're setup/introductory chapters anyway, but it made me ponder
I wonder if there's a novel length book comprised of a ton of very short chapters that's actually good

There is. As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. It has some chapters which are about eight pages long, but many that are only two. There are lots of perspectives shifting around, and the novel does not give you proper introductions either. It's like a puzzle, you have to figure it all out yourself as you go. You might want to check it out, it's very short. My copy has only 240 pages.
