Replaced by what appeals to the greatest number of people, low brow consumerism, art and culture of a society is devalued. The group that is the greatest in number here is not actually immigrants, but society's lowest which is taught not to take pride in tradition whereas to not harm immigrants. You can believe that your people are greater, more discriminating in their tastes and more thoughtful, but its naive to do so and this should be apparent in how successful Hollywood is abroad.
Learn from the US! Do not flatter yourselves out of misplaced pride, instead consider the future. You must assimilate newcomers to your culture to not only preserve it, but to keep culture as a whole high in class.
