The only chance of ever returning to creating offspring that is viable in therms of both the body and the mind is adopting children and teaching them what matters so they can grow up and pass the wisdom onto the rest.
That being said I also believe that a children's mind can be affected much more than an adult's and that is also why the current education system is made to destroy, not educate.
