Should you be forced to go into work with diarrhea and nausea?
Just had an argument with my boss, with him threatening me to go into work or else I receive a warning from head office who could fire me because they're short staffed.
I spoke to a doctor and I explained I've had these symptoms for 5 days and still feel terrible and have not eaten anything apart from dry bread, and he said it's illegal for a boss to have someone go into work with diarrhea or vomiting due to high risk of infection.
I explained I'm gonna get a sick note if symptoms persist for the next few days.
Boss said a sick note won't make any difference and I'll still have head office on my case.
I refused to go in and said I'll return to work when I'm feeling better.
