>>10457209guess it would be inappropriate to ask to speak to the manager of tiktok about shutting that insipid cancer meme down?
so this is what i was struggling with my phone. a while back i started running into issues with podcasts. if i stopped listening to it for a few hours like say, i listen to one hour out of a two hour podcast on the way to work, then hit pause and try to resume at lunch, it just wouldn't remember my place and seeking was broken, so even if i memorized the timestamp, clicking on 50:43 manually, it would just go to a random point in the file
so i figure, fine, maybe google's audio player wasn't meant for playing long mp3s, i'll download a podcast app and get shit straight from the rss feed. sure enough it resolved the issue perfectly., but some podcasts i was watching didn't have an rss feed and i still had to download the mp3s and i kept having the same issue. and the podcast app doesn't let you browse your phone for other mp3s.
i managed to track the problem down to some thread online saying it was a codec issue, so i figure, alright, fine, i'll try some other audio players. every stupid fucking app i installed was absolute cancer. it either had the exact same issue so it must have been based on the default google player, or the free version would only view certain folders, or play only video formats and you had to get the paid version for more options.
my last resort was, fine, i'll select the podcast app's download folder to be the same as my downloads folder. still didn't work. so i went to the file manager to see what the deal was and it turns out the stupid thing makes its own folder without telling you. downloads/podcasts. so the final fix was just moving my mp3s to the /podcasts folder and after all these hoops i managed to get an audio player to play audio.
more like "dumb"phones haha!
