The metaphysical meaning of this is that Islam totally focuses on the oneness of God. If he were to incarnate this would pose a problem which pagans and Christians have solved through offspring and demigods in the pagan case and cosubstantiality of Son with the Father in the Christian case. Either of these would be heresy of the highest order in Islam, though: "Allah has not taken unto himself a son."
