We call it ''frietje kapsalon'' which roughly translates to ''fries barbershop.''
Here is how it got it's name:
There was once a fellow who worked in at a barber, and some days we would go out and get some fries for lunch at the local snackhouse. But he liked his fries with some cheese, so it went like this:
''Yeah, I want to oder some fries, and can you put some molten cheese on top?''
''Sure''
''Oh and also some lettuce, it needs to be healthy.'' (I'm not shitting you he said this.)
''What sauce you want with that?"
''Garlic will do.''
He did this once every week, hence the snackhouse started putting this dish up on the menu. They called it: ''fries barbershop'', after the barber who created the dish.
