1)A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy
Book by William Braxton Irvine
This was the first book I listened to and served as my introduction to philosophy. I realized I didn't have a philosophy of life. If you don't know what that is or why it's important you should read it.
2)The Daily Stoic
Book by Ryan Holiday
I am going through this book for the second time now. After completing to A Guide to the Good Life I listen to 1-2 per day at the very start of my walk and then transition into other media. As it turns out, humans haven't changed much since ancient Rome. It's filled with tons of good life lessons and helps keep me focused on improving the way I look at the world every day.
3)Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
Book by James Clear
Almost everything you do every day is out of habit. This book breaks down the what and why. I highly recommend it.
One important thing to remember:
Nobody is going to change you except you. No book, no seminar, no Tony Robbins motivational speaker, no faggot on the internet. Every action you take is you casting a vote for the kind of person that you are. Reading 100 self help books won't do anything if you don't do anything.
