As far as the Eastern Front nobody should give a shit anyways. Germany signed the Geneva Convention, the USSR didn't and they acting exactly as you'd expect them to. Whatever favor was returned I promise was probably 1/10th the bestial behavior the Soviets showed. The partisans were the absolute scum of the earth and if the Germans peeled their skin off until they finally died from the pain it would be less than what they deserved for their well documented actions against German soldiers. Torture was the starting point for how they killed you, not the end.
