>>10551880great posts krautbro. I think a lot about how to break that almost religious fervor they have about these issues, the absolute inability to stop and think about their beliefs critically. I honestly don't know if there is any way to go about, they would only respond to the changing opinions of the cult. You're right that /pol/(and sites like this in general) offers a unique opportunity to explore your own beliefs through trying to defend them and having them attacked, allowing you to adopt any view and say anything you like, but you have to want to do this in the first place. Many of us came here as Progressives, wholly indoctrinated as children, but we still had somewhere in us the desire to rationally defend our ideas and attack those of our opponents. This impulse seems to simply not exist in most of these people, they just don't care about justifying what they believe, so I don't know how to even begin trying to remedy the brainwashing.
This hijacking of the normal human fear of ostracization due to taboo-breaking, by merging the religious and political, especially with the killshot of 'racism', which allows them to mix a cocktail of neoChristian equality of men and original sin gospel, ever increasing amounts of soft-commie wealth/power redistribution, all of it turned to overdrive through the social media panopticon, it's like a force of nature.
