>>10556422In general, I used to think like OP's pic. I thought so many people were absolutely retarded for being "try-hard." And, to an extent, that's true - "try-hard" people will never fundamentally have the success of people who just "do" without thinking too much.
The epitomes of success are always people who just "do" naturally. They might have some basic philosophy, technique, and develop this technique as time goes on, but they are clearly "do-ers" and not "think-ers."
And, right there, is the core of the difference between the two types of people. You can sit back and think about something for too long, or you can just go ahead and do it.
Generally, the thing separating do-ers from thinkers is natural skill. A guy who is the best athlete in his school will have to think exactly 0 seconds about joining the football team; it will just be natural to him. The guy who is~50th percentile will feel the weight of natural fear, cowardice, uncertainty when joining the football team because his biology is screaming to him, "DANGER!"
Same thing with the guy who is good at hooking up with girls. Girls will talk to him, hang with him, he probably didn't have any trauma when he was younger so he isn't as scared of them, it's just "natural" for him, at least compared to the ~50th percentile. The guy at the ~50th percentile will have his biology screaming at him, "BE SCARED."
So, yes, some people are better than other people. Moral of the story.
