>>10597472there's plenty of youtube video's that explain meditation and how to do it.
here's one short clip of a monk briefly explaining in dumbed down terms what you should be trying to acheive by meditating
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOJTbWC-ULcthere are literally dozens of video's that explain how to get into mindfullness mediation, like this one for example
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQOAVZew5l8im still pretty new to it myself, but you basically sit relaxed, close your eyes, and try to focus your inner thoughts not in thoughts but just on your sensation of breathing.
obivously while you do this, your mind will start to wonder with random thoughts of "what should i have to eat for tea?", "my nose is itchy", "that embarrasing high school cringe memory" etc
when the happens, you need to stop, observe and then redirect your mind to trying not to think of anything at all but breathing.
like i said before man, still new to it myself, there's plenty of resources online that can explain it better then i did (videos, books etc).
i wish you well man, with the shit that's going on in our country and around the western world currently, i strongly suggest doing your homework and try to make a habbit of doing it at least once a day for a week for just 10mins and see how it works for you,
i literally started at one 10 minute session this time last week to one full hour session on sunday.
