Is there a new wave of feminism? I dont know about other countries but more and more women that didnt used to talk about this issue, are now like super feminists here.
I dont mind talking about that but lately is kind of annoying.

Feminists would have you believe that feminism is rampant and wide spread in the UK. Its not mainstream ideology, the people who are feminists just shout the loudest and try to draw attention to themselves by disrupting ordinary peoples lives.

For example while I was at university, the student union which was full of feminists banned sombreros on campus because they are "cultural appropriation". The sombreros were being handed out to students by a MEXICAN restaurant to promote itself.

I used to think the same thing too, but it probably has a lot to do with the fact that people try to avoid bringing up stuff like this in polite conversation. If you keep probing, you'll find that some girls (especially younger ones) are actually drinking the third wave feminist kool aid and do believe in a lot of this stuff. It's just more likely that they're gonna do the majority of their bitching and complaining online because they know that it'd alienate a lot of people if they did it a lot irl.
