>>10703651>>266817399>Yeah, this. Fighting against a knife is fucking hell.I never said it wasn't when replying. I think knife is 1000x worse than a gun. But this guy is a larper. He did not get a gun pulled on him with central axis grip 5 times.
>>266817500yes I am, sage yourself.
>>266817533no, you get past that day 2. the wrist locks and elbow work is where it is best.
>>266817747I have heard incredible stuff, but not trained myself. It is widely adored by Russian fighters and fans of MMA I think. Most military guys swear by it too. Give it a go and see if you get the chance to train semi-realistic scenarios, like with plastic knifes and with a guy that is not just running a drill, but is allowed to creatively spar. That will soon tell you if the class is legit, as any free form sparring will test the method.
>>266817854I wish it were where I started, as you tend to remember your first techniques forever. Boxing is, bar none, the best thing for technical striking work. Boxers have a PhD in precision, calm under pressure, accuracy, control of movement, and very refined technique.
As for fights, I got shown CCTV footage of a fight I was in after the fact by another bouncer. I remeber pulling a guy off another guy and dragging him out but the footage showed that while I was dragging him out, his mate was kicking me in the side of the head, stomping my head into the wall near me. It just didn't register. It is funny what happens.
The grin is from adrenaline dumping. It is common. You may have felt elated by the fight. If you don't want to feel powerless, train, train, train. It will give you that confidence back. I went from teh most loser guy imagineable to who I am now thanks to training.
>spar>baccywhere abouts you from mate?
>>266818249literally a perfect elbow.
