>>1071400 that happiness back when I was a kid was something completely different from this artificial-ish happiness. Maybe because I lost the innocence, or I realised how things actually works or, as an adult, I find joy with other kind of aspects of life, such as drinking, fucking, etc.
Things like youtubers and fidget spinners aren't my thing, but I ought to be an hypocrite if I say that beyblades and arcades 24/7 did it for me back in the day. Happiness and joy are two words that really changed its meaning drastically for me. We aren't old grumpy men who cannot understand new things and stay in the past because "muh things were better!", we just grew up and moved on with our lives.
For the record, those people who today are kids, tomorrow will be like us; going through the same change and the same doubts and concerns. If it makes you feel better.
