Online is gonna be ~$25/yr starting somewhere around this November, for now it's free. But, voice chat has to be done through a mobile app on your phone, and you can't talk to random people in a match. Take that as you will.
The screen is 720p, so peasant HD. When docked, most games (like Spla2n) run at 1080p/60FPS. Pretty impressive for a portable console desu.
The HD rumble is one of the best things about this console. In fact, Nintendo even make a game (1, 2, Switch) that can be played using the guidance of the rumble.
Even if you don't buy the Switch, the joy-cons are really versatile for how small they are. What I mean by this is that the joy-cons have bluetooth support, so you can connect them to a PC or your mobile device. They have to be remapped to hell though because of Nintendo's shitty default button mapping to foreign devices, such as a PC.
If you're choosing joy-con colors, please for the love of god get the gray ones. The neon ones are really distracting when playing games. Also, in terms of discreteness you'll look like a fucking hipster in public.
By the way, the switch is super long, in terms of size. It's prone to bending because of this. I would recommend getting a case.
tl;dr: the joy-cons work with your pc, online services cost $25/yr, screen is 720p docked/1080p undocked, hd rumble is great, voice chat is through a mobile app, get a case for your switch, get gray joy-cons
