as funny as that is, this african/brazillian youth trend makes me completely check out of following football. our top team right now is ludogorets, a team from the north east (my general area). a local millionaire with a pharma company sponsored the team and bought a bunch of foreign players for them so they can win games. but i just can't relate to their wins when 90% of their players aren't even bulgarian. like am i supposed to by happy that joao from sao paulo scored a goal while wearing the colors of my team? it's only exciting if the players are kids from my town. a bunch of bought players might be better than local kids but wathcing them isn't fun.
