>>10758790They're something to fill my time with, yeah. I'm not really the biggest fans of most of them, it's just that I've soaked up all their names and such thru osmosis. It's kinda addicting.
>They seem to shun everybody who's not like them, yet at the same time they appear to have a fascination with western cultureFrom the outside, it might appear as shunning. But I think it's less about that than it is about a sense of pride, which doesn't hinge on a distate of foreign culture, but rather a preference for the native. There are, however, nationalists, just like there are 'Westaboos' there.
>What does that mean? Spamming the chats of the streams? It means spamming the dislike option (the thumbs up/down thing) on someone's video, usually a specific 'offending' video, but can include anything they put out. Chat bots aren't uncommon, though. I mean bitter in that they focus on the negative, and moreover, try to make the streamer's lives worse, whereas I just try to enjoy them for what they are.
>Which wars? All of the them, really, even some of the more modern ones.
>Is it true that the Confederate army's leaders got their ranks based on the reputationsWell, I know that, on both sides, the top most leaders - generals - attended West Point, so they can't have been chosen on reputation alone. But the lower level officers would've come from local, state level army groups, and so, might've been chosen based on their position in the community or for past combat experience, again same on both sides. This of course was still during a time where coming from a wealthy family meant a lot, so that can't be discounted, either.
>what sort of impression do you have of me?Eh, you're older and seemingly more mature. It's sometimes more like talking to an older brother than a peer.
>That doesn't mean I have mommy issues.Doesn't it? I know you're close to your mom, but that doesn't mean there isn't something unresolved. Kinda seems that way with your tastes, anyway.
