Comeback amd rags to riches stories are to placate people into thinking if they work hard enough they can make it. "Mental illness can be overcome" they say. But anyone who has had treatment for it can tell you they dont care because mental illness cant actually be treated yet. Drug-induced damage cant be treated yet. We dont have the means nor the will to handle impulsive people that keep getting themselves in trouble, even though people say we do.
