Fast food and convenience has spoiled us. Its cheap, fast, tastes good, but is super unhealthy. If we cut down the amount of fast food restaurants, we wouldnt be nearly as fat

Fast food once allowed us to feed our hungry people and make sure poor people could buy food - by fast food I also mean wonder bread, spam, American cheese, etc. Over several generations fast food has become such a part of our culture, that now we base our perception of what "real food" costs, and meal preparation time, on fast foods. A steak costs what it should cost, and a cheeseburger should never be a $1 daily available item.

Tldr Americans have become cheap and lazy because of intergenerational corporate dependence

In a general sense, consumerism and less people living an ascetic lifestyle. Fat acceptance is more recent and I don't think it's as tied to the decades of degradation we've seen.

That's unironically fascinating. Fat people, gay or not, sometimes seek out other fat people as partners so they can co-depend and never make each other lose weight. But they also love to see the "before" pictures from when their partner was hot. The man in the OP pic was beautiful once, almost like a Chris Pine lookalike. If he were gay, another fat guy could be in a relationship with him, never feel like he's being judged for being fat, but also imagine hes fucking a Chris Pine lookalike.

The whole thing reminds me of women who look at their best old pictures and believe in their heads they still look like that.

This shit goes both ways. There's something buggered about an economy where technology keeps making labor more efficient but for some reason wages are such that two-working parent households are a necessity.

Many Americans simply don't have time to cook because the market is so fucked they have to keep running to keep up, so they eat what's cheap and quick.

I think women actually support them gaining weight, because they will get unatractive to other women that way.
