I have a lifted V8 and an ebike. The ebike gets me to work faster and is more fun in urban traffic... if weather cooperates. The truck is for bad weather and going out beyond civilization.

100+ mpg and no insurance needed.

I never understand the anti truck argument. It always seems to be "you can get by doing X without a truck". But why? Why does it matter? If someone enjoys the truck, why would they bother buying anything else? The argument seems to stem from the notion that people shouldn't be allowed to own things just because they enjoy them, but should only own what is absolutely necessary to get by. It's a communist way of thought.

There is also no Subaru out there that will go where my truck goes, carry 2000lb in the bed and tow 12000lb.

But you dont actually go anywhere, and you dont tow or haul anything with it, you just want people to think you're a big strong man by what you drive. I dont think trucks should be outlawed, I just think unintelligent consumers that buy into status symbols should be shamed and laughed at.

Even if I never used it as a truck, not even once, why would it matter? They're comfortable, spacious, fun to drive. Why does there even have to be an excuse if it's something someone enjoys.

These are both mine, and I own them because I enjoy them. I don't need another reason.
