If they want us to have more they need to make it easy.

3+ kids means you need a bigger car, bigger house and an extra seat on planes etc. Your theme park "Family" packages suddenly become a family pass plus one child.
If you are intending on paying for your kids uni or a nice private school it means an extra 100-200k in expense over 10-15 years.
Not to mention the stress of very young kids and not being table to take a break for even longer.

I think at least the government should investigate subsidising au pairs. Childcare places are a scam with how much they charge and how much they get from the government. It is already almost cheaper to hire a private au pair.
Preferably they would give tax benefits when purchasing family sized cars etc. if you have 3+ kids.

There's a big difference between dropping your kids at a childcare place vs having someone you know and trust coming to your house and managing things.

You can't achieve self reliance when housing, education, healthcare is off the charts. Government must step in an put forth measures that would directly or indirectly allow people to have families. Forcing landlords to lower the rent can just as be effective as giving tax cuts for people with newborns.
