Okay, giving the name "Greenland" to a literal ice valley island was a sort of marketing stunt by the Scandinavians to get more settlers to live there. I get that part. But if so why did they give the name Iceland to a place that's overall not as harsh to live in? Wouldn't they also want to make it look nice and comfy?
