A Polish guy once told me that the only way to say "Russian" in Polish language is by using an adjective “Rosyjski” or Rosjanin, Rosjanka, Rosjanie.
But I noticed most Poles use "Ruski" or "Ruscy", "Ruskie", "Ruska". I’ve been looking through Wikisłownik recently and found out that the word “Ruski” can be used as “Russian” with a negative connotation.
Is the word "Ruski" a derogatory racist term like nigger, chink, spic?
