In another 300 years or so, large sums of people will hybrid their brains into computers over the internet, and the networking of those brains to computers to brains, will create 10000x super-human general intelligences that will disrupt the economy requiring a complete re-think of what a civilization is.
The division line between biotechnology in the human brain and the computers and machine learning algorithms in the amazon data centers, will forever remain a question for the philosophers. The best answer will be: "The division line moves as needed, sometimes it's all human, sometimes it's all machine".
