Anon, I grew up in Naples, I watched it change over many decades but the one constant that remained was old boomers that barely tipped, can’t drive for shit, and act like they should be given the right of way at all times in any settings. After the housing crash in 2008, those of us who were just starting out working were absolutely fucked in the ass when it came to trying to afford a house. Once things started to stabilize, all the cocksucker foreign investors and snowbirds moved in and essentially bought up what affordable housing there was and turned them into rentals. The rich and richer live in Naples and if you’re not part of their gang, you will never be. For fucks sake, they have pickle ball tournaments there. I have never heard of it until one popped up in a park there. Boomers fucking love that shit too. It’s basically tennis for lazy people.
The cops there have nothing better to do and Collier County loves generating revenue with tickets and fines. Also, don’t try being lippy with them or the Naples PD, they will throw you in jail for just saying the wrong thing. Charges may not stick but you will be miserable until you can make bail. With that said, I’ve never felt unsafe living there because there is a very low percentage of niggers. Lot of Cubans, though. They all came over from Miami.
Beaches are pretty nice, I’m not going to lie. Growing up I had access to it and I took it for granted. I sort of miss it but I think it’s because I associate it with all the great memories I have as a kid/teenager there.
And last but not least, it’s fucking HOT. Always hot, every god damn day (with the exception of maybe 4 days out of the year that make it pretty nice outside thanks to cold fronts). Sure enough, those nice days are always ruined because so many snowbirds are out shitting up the roads. If you don’t like 105F heat index, don’t move there.
