There is no proof of Rama existing anywhere in India. Ramayana was a story created by middle eastern vedic/Aryan migrants to India. Aryan migration to India is true, look no further than Islamic invasion of India, that was also Aryan migration, all those Muslims were Aryans prior to being Muslims.
I am a Hindu, I used to believe Ramayana was true but I figured out it is not true, it was a Bollywood movie script from year Rig vedic period of 1500BC to 500BC. It's a historical over dramatized retelling of some events that took place concerning the Aryan migration from modern day Armenia, old Mitanni Kingdom to India. The Mitanni were Vedic people who were defeated and deported by Assuras(Assyrians, ancient day pre-Muslims). When they reached India, similar to how character Lord Rama reached forests, they faced some difficulties with local populace (rakshasas and vanaras).
Why did Rama had to leave ? Family trouble and war within family. Real event is King Tushratta ( fictional Dashratta), a real king of Mitanni people was killed by his family members. Who killed Tushratta? Assuras/Assyrians attacked from one side while Hittites/Turks attacked from other side. Assuras came from Assur a vassal state which turned rogue.
