he was saying that some people aren't signed up for the $80 online book and they need to do that asap. when i asked if there was a payment grace period like with some online books because i might be dropping this class for another he just started talking about how the course had a schedule that assumes i've already got the book and he doesn't know what to tell me in a very aggressive way rather than just saying he doesn't know if there's a payment grace period
>>11085873very good considering the professor is a bit of a dick generally speaking (see my other reply). thankfully it's the advisor that decides this sort of thing and all i needed from the professor was to tell me who my advisor was and to contact them.
VERY word. this was the absolute worst part of my previous school since it had a lot of veterans so they were smug boomers with work experience in these fields.
in this case it's really funny because the professor was talking about taking a placement course if you have japanese experience already so you don't end up in a class too easy for you. from that it came up that one guy spent 4 years studying japanese and the aforementioned individual has spent 2. it seems the guy with more experience is self taught so he just sometimes asks quick questions about whether what we're learning is a different structure from what he's learned or whether he learned wrong initially. meanwhile the annoying guy takes any opportunity to yell out answers with the intonation of an anime character as soon as the question is on screen. really good thing cams aren't required because i physically cringed multiple times
fortunately the professor gets more based by the moment and does his best to just cut the guy off asap and move on
