I have an IQ over 120 and I still fall for dumb stuff on the regular. And 120 is just dumb enough to not listen to people who are smarter than you because you don't know that they are.
Also lets be totally honest, all joking aside, IQ does not equate with morality.
A world of 90 - 100 IQ where everyone was loving and kind would be a heaven compared to just our regular world and everyone is a genius.
If everyone had a 'higher IQ' we'd probably already have blown up the planet.
Also, IQ is more a measure of education and practice than actual intelligence. You can train anyone with an average IQ to get probably like 40 points higher. As my best guess.
Most of the types of questions found on IQ tests have a formula that can be learned and practiced.
