>>11121124>inner cities look nice in other first world counties :(True, they were planned to have a diverse means of transportation and are therefore not traffic packed hellholes especially since they aren't filled with fat unhealthy fucks who walk around more often than not. Not to mention aren't just glorified simple grids originally built for literally slums packed with cheap labor which is the case for NYC.
Also they tend to have cleaner air being post industrial or built after that.
That said cities aren't typically self reliant either and almost always need to consume resources from outside suppliers exuding a few examples.
