Online followers and such are an artificial number, many people only have 1 or 2 friends. Remember 1 close and good friend is better than 100 weak or false friends.
As for how to get friends, there is no "how to". I guess it's just a time and a place thing. You won't really find proper friends on here, you should get out and do more social things and join local groups for your interests. These are the sorts of places you meet people or maybe just in public from talking to someone, who knows. I wish you well OP!
