I'm a Finn. I work in Industrial Services. My current area of responsibility covers eight European nations. I am an flying engineer following the product of my company with 185 travel days this year already. Ok?
I have hosted my Southern European colleagues (Germans, Austrian, Swiss, Italians etc) at my place in Finland several times over the years.
The first time I had these guests years ago I first invited them to shoot my guns in my own forest. I introduced the place as my "range". My guests were happily plinking with my guns and after that we returned back to my dwellings.
It was this German guy who noticed the garage style cover and asked me what is that. I responded that it's my firewood stash where I had about 15 cubic meters of dry firewood.
I can't even start to describe the reaction what came out of that when all of my guests realized that I don't only have 15 cubic meters of dry firewood, but it all comes from that forest where were all just had some good time plinking.
I have a separate sauna building at my shoreline, I have an outdoors shower and a large wooden bath barrel for ten people, where the water is heated with an underwater stove >obviously the actual stove lid being outside of the bath barrel, pic related
Ever since my quests (the same guys) have wanted to select the birchwood from my stash and lit up the stove in the bath barrel. Because they would never have the change to do the same in their home countries. It's almost like a religious experience to them (while drinking beer and grilling kassler) :DDD
