Every time I have had a talk with him, it's been in english, so he doesn't know swedish very well. I think he understands swedish, but just don't feel comfortable enough to speak it himself, so I speak english back to him, out of respect.
He's a great neighbour, though, because he suffers through my many loud parties I have without complaining. Also, he owns a Volvo, which in itself is a big plus in my book. An expensive one, to boot. In the €50 000 range
